The real story of the Reagan-Bush era's "low intensity war" and subsequent "peace" will be explored this evening. The gathering includes a screening of "Innocent Voices" [Voces Inocentes] In addition to the discussion, the event will feature Salvadoran food.

January 27, 2007, noon - 4:00 p.m. Boston Strategic Resistance, an ad hoc organizing committee of anarchists and anti-authoritarians, will host a participatory workshop and strategy session on relations between Boston area anarchists, anti-authoritarians, those with similar ideals and the larger communities around us.
Reportback:January 18, 2007, 7:00 p.m. A delegation of Boston-area residents visited Venezuela to observe the December presidential elections, which returned Hugo Chavez to power. On Thursday evening, the delegation will present its impressions via music, film and photos. Light refreshments will be served. $5 suggested donation.
January 13, 2007, 8:00 p.m. Join Sergio Reyes, Jeanne Koopman, Dorotea Manuela, and Thomas Ponniah in a fundraising send-off party for the Boston Delegation to the World Social Forum being held in Nairobi, Kenya. This year's delegation will concentrate on building relationships with the global migrant workers movement. Our send-off party will feature African music and drumming, a light dinner and refreshments, conversation and dancing. Sergio Reyes of Chile will be singing and remembering his martyred compatriot, Victor Jara.
